Qigong and martial arts in the park
From the end of April until the end of June (when Luo De Xiu arrives in Paris) you can enjoy regular outdoor training sessions in some of Paris’s most picturesque locations. On wednesday evenings we will be in Palais Royal, and on Sunday mornings in Parc des Buttes Chaumonts. The links will take you to google maps of the meeting points. Check the calendar for the exact dates.
Each session will last two hours and be divided into two parts.
The first hour will be relaxation, qigong and body conditioning exercises from Bagua.
The second hour will be martial technique. Many of you have asked about self protection training recently (link) so the focus will be on partner work to develop striking power, body angle, and footwork along with escapes, trips, throws and sensitivity games.
If you are new to martial arts it is fine, you can join in. I teach in a progressive way where the goal is to learn and the method is through fun. I will ramp up the intensity only if you demonstrate willingness and responsibility. If you have more experience I will find ways to build on it so that you can continue to develop and enjoy a firmer grip on the subject.
You can come along for one or both sessions. For your first session the cost will be just €5, afterwards the price will be €10/hour (if you have a 10 class card you can use 1 class to cover the two hours).
Finding a terrace for a drink together after class is a definite possibility
