Aunkai
Aunkai is a set of exercises compiled and created by Japanese master Akuzawa Minoru. Aunkai is stripped down to develop a particular body frame and body use that develops internal strength for martial arts.
The exercises themselves develop a frame in the body, strengthening the connections between the extremities and the spine so that whole body power is accessible and movement efficient.
We do not offer regular classes in Aunkai, however we do organise an annual visit of Akuzawa sensei from Tokyo, and have occasional introductory sessions and practise groups for people interested in the system.
